🌱 CARE: For Couples is a practice designed to help partners deepen their relationship by understanding and working with their own and each other's nervous systems. Whether you're navigating stress, communication hurdles, or simply looking to grow closer, this series gives you science-based tools to strengthen your bond.


Each 60-minute session includes guided breathing and grounding, practical relationship-building exercises, and simple psychoeducation drawn from polyvagal theory and neuroplasticity — all in everyday, accessible language.


💛 What You’ll Learn & Practice:

  • Breathwork and meditation for emotional co-regulation

  • Building a shared language for emotional safety

  • Role playing real-life situations and triggers with compassion

  • Using brain-based techniques to rewire stuck patterns

  • Strengthening mutual understanding and daily nervous system care


This is a hands-on, proactive space for couples of all identities and backgrounds to grow and reconnect.

Ricky Cortez is a meditation educator, breathwork guide, and founder of Connected And Rooted Everywhere (CARE)—a nervous system-based practice series for individuals, couples, families, and organizations. Drawing from his background in performance, tech, and human rights (including work with WITNESS), Ricky blends neuroplasticity, polyvagal theory, and Buddhist wisdom into practical, powerful tools for everyday regulation and relationship repair. A same-sex parent raising neurodiverse children, Ricky brings grounded lived experience into each offering, helping others build trust, emotional safety, and resilience. Whether in homes, schools, or boardrooms, his programs help people reconnect with themselves and each other through the simple power of the breath.
