🌱 CARE: For Individuals is a practice designed for anyone seeking to better understand their emotional patterns, reduce stress, and build a foundation of inner safety and regulation. Whether you're navigating relationships, burnout, life transitions, or just craving more ease, this program offers grounded, science-informed tools that you can use every day.

Each 60-minute session blends breath work and mindfulness with simple insights from polyvagal theory and neuroplasticity — all explained in relatable, practical language.


This series is inclusive of all identities and lived experiences. You don’t need to be in a relationship or family system to benefit — this is about healing and connecting with yourself, and bringing that clarity to your daily life and relationships.

Ricky Cortez is a meditation educator, breath work guide, and founder of Connected And Rooted Everywhere (CARE)—a nervous system-based practice series for individuals, couples, families, and organizations. Drawing from his background in performance, tech, and human rights (including work with WITNESS), Ricky blends neuroplasticity, polyvagal theory, and Buddhist wisdom into practical, powerful tools for everyday regulation and relationship repair. A same-sex parent raising neurodiverse children, Ricky brings grounded lived experience into each offering, helping others build trust, emotional safety, and resilience. Whether in homes, schools, or boardrooms, his programs help people reconnect with themselves and each other through the simple power of the breath.
